Slide guitar sits at the centre of 8 Ball Aitken's swamp-blues sound, drawing on blues, country, soul and rock in roughly equal measure. Based in Nashville since 2012, 8 Ball Aitken has performed across twenty countries as a singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer, building a following through live shows and released recordings along the way. A 2021 highlight came at a competition built around non-standard blues instrumentation, the Cigar Box Guitar Festival held that year in New Orleans, where he placed second. Bookings range from headline festival slots to smaller special event work, with a sound that stays gritty even in a more polished room.
