AARDVARK JAZZ BAND

Banjo, clarinet or saxophone, and double bass make up Aardvark Jazz Band's acoustic trio. Led by jazz guitarist Kim Anning, the group works from an extensive repertoire of jazz standards with a bright, toe tapping feel. Its fully acoustic set-up means the musicians can play in parks, on boats, in foyers and backyards, or move through a large dining room from table to table. That mobility suits events where a fixed stage isn't the main focus. Guests can hear the trio up close, while the instrumentation keeps the sound recognisably rooted in traditional jazz.
