Loveless Trio play blues, jazz and funk fusion, and they do it without a chord instrument, which is a genuinely bold way to build an ensemble. It means the harmony has to be implied rather than stated, and everyone has to listen harder. Hobart Conservatorium of Music alumni, so the technique holds up under that. Intricate rhythms and real improvisation, and the result blurs genre lines rather than sitting neatly in one.
