Modern pop is home ground for Abi Muir. She performs as a duo with her partner Jayden on acoustic guitar, singing Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan alongside older favourites from Adele, Queen, ABBA and Whitney Houston. Sets run about 50 minutes, a dozen or so songs each, and she keeps the chat between songs to a minimum. But there's another side: an In the Round show of her own originals, where she shares the stories behind the songs, suited to more intimate events. Based in Cairns, the duo needs only a covered two-metre space with power nearby, and carries public liability insurance.
