AbstRKt calls himself a sound hoarder, which is honest. A decade of collecting records across genres, labels and passing trends has given the Naarm-based selector a deep well to draw from. Since the mid 2000s he's held residencies and played at venues and renegade doofs across Melbourne, Pune, Goa and Bangkok. The sets go moody and wonky rather than straight down the middle, and they tend to stay with people afterwards. Best suited to a room that trusts the DJ to take it somewhere.
