Adam Barnard

Four decades behind the kit have taken Adam Barnard through jazz and swing drumming styles spanning the 1920s to the 1950s and beyond. Washboard and other percussion round out the playing alongside standard drums. Across that time, credits include work alongside Don Burrows, Mic Conway, Ignatius Jones, George Washingmachine and James Morrison, among other well-known names on the Australian jazz scene. Current commitments run across several bands at once rather than one fixed outfit: Pia Andersen's Queenie and the Cavaliers, Greg Poppleton's band, Dr Gumbo, The Faculties, Tipsy and the Tonics, King Creole and The Aston Martinis all get a share of the drum stool.
