Adam Hall The Velvet Playboys

Adam Hall The Velvet Playboys draw on 1950s swing, rhythm and blues and boogie woogie, mixing original music with classic and contemporary material. The group’s recordings include I’ve Got News for You, When It’s Party Time Down South and It’s You It’s Me. They toured Australia with saxophonist Big Jay McNeely and have also appeared with Syl Johnson and Betty Harris. Adam formed the band in 2005 after studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston. A singer and multi-instrumentalist, he plays trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano and several other instruments. His wider performance history includes the Sydney Olympics, an artist residency in Singapore and tours through Europe, the United States and Asia.
