Adelaide Big Band

A community band, the Adelaide Big Band draws its members from teachers, engineers, IT consultants and working and retired professional musicians alike. Commercial jazz, swing and showbiz repertoire make up the regular programme, aimed squarely at a mainstream, casual listening crowd . Weekly rehearsals feed into a schedule of community events, festivals, private functions, corporate bookings and conference gala dinners, plus backing slots for touring artists. The band can also build a themed set around a client's event, and a run of tribute programmes covers Frank Sinatra's My Way, Robbie Williams's Swing When You're Winning, Paul Anka's Rock Swings and two shows drawn from Michael Buble's catalogue.
