Ali Pickup

Aerial hoop is the speciality: bendy tricks, fast spins and genuine feats of strength, well off the ground. Ali Pickup is a Newcastle-based aerial artist and circus performer who danced through her teens, started training aerial arts in 2015 and began performing with Circus Avalon in 2018. Since going freelance she's appeared in cabarets including After Dark Burlesque, OMGWTF and Candyland, and performed at events across Australia. For venues without rigging she brings her own freestanding aerial rig; it needs four metres of ceiling height and a four-metre square of floor. Juggling, LED and ground-based circus acts round out the options.
