Alicia Janz

Sport and advocacy sit side by side in this Perth speaker's background. A dual-code athlete, Alicia Janz represented the West Coast Fever in national netball, then moved codes to play AFLW, turning out for the Fremantle Dockers and later the West Coast Eagles and earning selection in the Australian Under-21 Netball Squad plus the Eagles' Best Club Person award in 2020. Growing up in Derby, in Western Australia's Kimberley region, as a proud Erubian Islander of the Meriam people shapes the other half of the work: mentoring First Nations girls and young women, including through the Deadly Sista Girlz program. Four talks are offered from that base, covering resilience and mindset, navigating two worlds, team culture and women in leadership.
