Alpen Duo is a musical duo from Manypeaks, Western Australia.
German and Austrian folk music, played on accordion, clarinet, saxophone and cowbells with singing and yodelling, is the specialty of this Great Southern region duo based in Manypeaks. Alpen Duo performs in traditional Lederhosen and Dirndl costume and can play up to five hours of Oktoberfest-style music on request, with a Schuhplattler dance group available as an addition. Beyond the German folk repertoire, the pair also draws on Oberkrainer music, arranging and writing within that style alongside organising concerts across the region.
