Cigar box guitar, slide, open tunings and a hard hitting drum kit. AlphaStomp are a two piece from Burleigh Heads who take blues the Muddy Waters way and rough it up with Hendrix, Rolling Stones and AC/DC influences, played on instruments most punters have never seen up close. They've done Blues on Broadbeach, Cooly Rocks, Buskers by the Creek and a headline show at the Gold Coast Arts Centre, and a European run took in Vienna, Prague and Poland's Suwalki Blues Festival. Loud, raw and built for pubs, festivals and parties that want grit rather than polish. Public liability insurance held.
