Amanda Easton writes about love, mostly, on the grounds that not much else is worth the trouble. The Sydney singer and songwriter has two albums out and a run of three self-penned EPs in progress, in a style she describes as theatrical electronic pop. Early songs Celebrity and Skin both reached the top ten of the Australian independent music chart, with airplay following on Nova FM, Rage, community radio around the country and a few television slots. She has toured through Western Europe and Japan. Away from her own material she takes on as much as she can get: jazz, cabaret, plenty of pop, tribute shows at rooms like The Basement and events including Taronga Zoo's Twilight Series, plus fronting function band Dance Little Sister with Jo Elms. Bookings run solo, duo, trio or quartet.
