About this act
Flute, violin, vocals and a xylophone, layered live through a loop pedal. Amla builds ambient, classical tinged sets one instrument at a time, improvised world music with a thread of folk running through it, then breaks things up with covers like Summertime, Hey Soul Sister and A Groovy Kind of Love. Requests are welcome with notice, Christmas carols included come December. She can also perform as a duo with a guitarist or mandolin player, which opens up Celtic and Irish tunes. Brings her own speaker and mic, or plugs into a venue PA. Public liability insured.
