Arman Bratamidjaja fronts Arman and Co, a Hobart jazz ensemble playing vintage swing and sultry blues. The classics get delivered properly, with musicianship to match and enough energy that it never turns into wallpaper. That balance is the whole trick with golden era jazz: reverent enough to sound right, lively enough to keep people awake.
