Arte Kanela was formed in 1990 by guitarist Richard Tedesco and dancer Johnny Tedesco. Flamenco guitar, choreography and percussion connect their roles in the performance. The group has collaborated with musicians and dancers from Spain as well as Australian artists, including The Cat Empire, bringing those exchanges into its flamenco work.
