Artist At Work

Two sporting portraits, painted live in oil on stretched canvas over roughly two hours, form the centre of Artist At Work in Melbourne. At a fundraiser, the finished paintings can be auctioned to help raise money for the cause; at a wedding, the bride and groom are painted during the reception and the finished portrait is handed over by their parents later that night. It runs as a quiet, unobtrusive kind of entertainment, equally at home in a small gathering or a large one. Past beneficiaries of the auctioned works include the Make a Wish Foundation, the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Carlton Football Club, Melbourne Football Club, North Melbourne Football Club, North Adelaide Football Club, the Bendigo Bombers and the Bendigo Animal Shelter. Based in Victoria, the act travels nationally.
