Aspire DJ Band pairs a percussionist with a DJ in Melbourne, with a saxophone player and a vocalist available as add ons depending on how big the sound needs to be. Maracas and tambourines are handed to guests, with congas and bongos also included in the setup, and a Greek toumperleki drum gets its own moment on the dance floor during Greek sets. The song library runs past 20,000 tracks, with requests drawn from that catalogue, and either the percussionist or the DJ can step into an MC role for entrances, speeches and other formalities. Line ups scale from the core duo up to a four piece with vocalist and saxophone added.
