Brazilian born and Sydney based for more than two decades, Astronafrica fuses house and jazz with moody dub and psychedelic undertones, all built on a love of percussion and diasporic rhythm. He began in 2007 on Eastside Radio 89.7FM, hosting a weekly show that ran for eleven years featuring Brazilian music and interviews with local and international artists. Cultural curation as much as DJing, and the sets are richer for it.
