Atete's Hawaiian and Polynesian Shows

Ukulele songs, island drums, hula and a fire finale. Atete Punahele trained in Polynesian dance at the Foyer De Jeunu Fille in Papeete, Tahiti, and directs a show that moves from welcome songs of the South Pacific through Hawaiian standards and originals to two or three dancers in full traditional colour. Guests get invited up to learn a hula, couples can face off in a friendly dance contest to live drumming, and the night can close with a fire act under the open sky. A lei greeting on arrival is an option, and so are Elvis-era hula numbers. Atete also sings and writes her own Hawaiian and country material. Based in Maroochydore, built for themed events, cultural galas and parties that want the islands brought to them.
