About this act
Fire, handled by someone with more than a decade behind it. Bad Bonita is a solo show built on four disciplines in sequence: fire fans to open, geometric and fluid; fire hula hoop to build, full orbits of light around the body; fire poi and chains at the climax, fast and large in format; then torches and wands for close range precision. Fire eating and palm torches sit in the mix too. The whole thing runs 15 to 20 minutes as one continuous act and the order can be changed to suit an event. Requirements are firm for good reason: a clear 5 by 5 metre area, three metres to the audience, non flammable ground only, water and an extinguisher on hand. Public liability insurance and a current Working With Children Check are held, a SWMS is available, and a trained safety spotter is recommended. Melbourne based, available Australia wide.
