Bangarra is a dance company whose performance language draws on Australia's long history of dance traditions. Its creative work includes collaborations with other arts organisations. One such project was Rites, developed with The Australian Ballet and choreographed by Stephen Page for the Melbourne International Festival of the Arts in 1997. The company's practice combines its own choreographic development with work across artistic disciplines.
