Belly Dance by Rose

Rose performs and teaches bellydance, with a reputation as an instructor that reaches well beyond Perth. The range of settings she works in is wide: big concert stages and festivals at one end, weddings, restaurants, multicultural events and private parties at the other. She has extensive experience dancing to live music with both Arabic and Persian musicians, which has sharpened her musicality and her improvising. She responds to what she hears in the moment, traditional or contemporary, and the work stays rooted in the culture the dance comes from. A standard show runs twenty minutes with audience participation, and wedding or corporate bookings get a specialised performance with props. Live musicians can be arranged on request. She needs a speaker supplied and a room to change in.
