Three distinct shows sit under this banner. Raks Harissa brings modern bellydance with bejewelled costuming and props that include a fire shamadan, stick twirling, wings and sword balancing. Bollywood Dhamaka blends Bollywood-style choreography with contemporary fusion and its own colourful props. Silk Road Dancers ranges wider again, drawing on traditional dance from Egypt, Turkey, Persia, Lebanon and the wider gypsy-influenced region alongside more familiar bellydance and Bollywood movement, using fire shamadan, stick twirling and sword balancing. Between them the three formats cover a broad stretch of Middle Eastern, South Asian and Silk Road dance styles.
