Solo, Benny Purnell plays acoustic guitar, sings and works two foot stomps at the same time, which is why one person can sound like more. Add a drummer and it's a duo, add a lead guitarist and it's bigger again, and there's a three-piece rock band, Tubed Radio, on top of that. Rock and blues sit underneath most of it with folk and reggae surfacing now and then. He can play a set of originals or three hours plus of covers, and it's usually a mix. Expect INXS, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Sublime, Talking Heads, Grinspoon, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young and Ash Grunwald. He brings his own PA and lights for small to medium venues, and carries property and public liability insurance.
