Billy K Blues Band came together out of the Gold Coast scene, players who have worked in Australia and overseas for years and kept coming back to blues. Billy K sings and writes, John Welldon is on drums and vocals, Nigel Baker plays keys, Alton Twine handles bass and vocals, and Peter Govan brings the harmonica. Robert Johnson, B.B. King, Freddy King, Clapton, J.J. Cale, the Allman Brothers and Cream all sit in the DNA. The set is upbeat, mixing classic covers with their own material, and it works in clubs, pubs, at festivals, markets, corporate events and private parties. The band can scale from a duo through to a four piece with three part vocals, and can bring a full PA and lighting. Insured for public liability.
