Billy Neal

Billy Neal picked up saxophone and guitar at seven, trained classically, and spent a year with the Royal English Opera Company performing at Covent Garden. In the UK he put together and fronted a nine piece blues outfit doing a Commitments and Blues Brothers show, which became a fixture on the professional party circuit there. Venues included The Savoy, the Empire Ballroom in Leicester Square, the Cafe Royal, the Hammersmith Palais and The Roof Gardens, and the band toured Europe and released original records. He performed for Princess Diana at Chelsea Barracks and recorded at Sawmills and Red Bus studios. Since moving to Western Australia in 2004 he's worked all over the country, still touring Europe three months a year.
