Blake Fischer | Tenor

Opera, musical theatre and recital work all sit within Blake Fischer’s work as a Sydney tenor, on stages spanning the Sydney Opera House, London's Covent Garden, the Scottish Opera, Glyndebourne, the Cape Town Opera and Tokyo Concert Hall. The Victorian College of the Arts gave him his early training, and a scholarship carried his studies overseas, to the UK's Royal Northern College of Music, which awarded him its Gold Medal in 2003. His career included ten years in Europe before returning to Australia in 2012. Melbourne's and Brisbane's international festivals have both featured his recital programs, and his recordings sit on the Move Records and Chandos labels, alongside a stage role as Ravenal in Showboat for Cape Town Opera.
