Blooze Bus

Chicago blues sits at the centre of this Darwin duo's sound, carried through amplified harmonica, slide and acoustic guitar. Geoff Howells covers harmonica, vocals and guitar, while Jon Veverbrandts takes lead and slide guitar alongside vocals, and between them the set moves through blues, rock, country and a touch of folk. The pairing has played together for three years, with two of those spent gigging regularly. Influences run from the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton through to Tom Petty, filtered into a Darwin duo's own take on the blues rather than copied outright.
