About this act
Twenty three years holding down a residency at Hobart's Republic Bar says most of what you need to know. The Blueflies are a four man blues band, two guitars, bass and drums, covering Waits, Buddy Guy, BB King, Mavis Staples, Amos Lee, Eric Clapton, Charlie Musselwhite and Larkin Poe, with their own originals written in the same vein. They arrive with a PA and some lights, set up, play and pack down themselves. A stage would be nice. It isn't a requirement.
