Blues Collective have been playing swamp and Chicago blues since June 2015, and they do their own arrangements rather than straight copies. The line-up is Angela McCloy on vocals, co-founder Chris Martin Murphy on vocals, guitar and harmonica, co-founder Ian Chisholm on bass, Marty Davison on saxophone and Bruce Stephens on drums, with Sydney Blues Society award nominations between them. The songbook comes from Tony Joe White, JJ Cale, Taj Mahal, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, BB King, Solomon Burke, Etta James, Jimmy Reed, Robert Johnson, Elmore James and Freddie King.
