Bob Johnson presents "Famous Faces, Fascinating Places"

Bob Johnson spent seven years touring as trombonist with Sammy Davis Jnr, and played behind Frank Sinatra from the Sanctuary Cove opening in 1988 through to the Diamond Jubilee Tour in 1991. Add Shirley Bassey, Johnny Mathis and Liza Minnelli, plus stints with the Daly-Wilson Big Band and the Ray Martin Midday Show band, and you have a lifetime of stories worth sitting down for. Famous Faces, Fascinating Places is the Adelaide based talk built from that life: tales from the road, a look at how a trombone actually works, a respectful demonstration of the didgeridoo, and sung tributes to Sammy Davis Jnr and Peter Allen. All it needs is a microphone and a PA for the backing tracks.
