Bobby V & the Lavaman

A tight three-piece of guitar, Hammond organ and drums forms the core of Bobby V & the Lavaman in Melbourne, built out further with additions such as a Wahine dancer, saxophone or steel drum depending on the booking. Beach Boys and surf classics sit in the set alongside Beatles and Stones numbers and a nod to The King, all leaning toward a Hawaiian theme. Getting people up and dancing is the aim, and the band reshuffles its own list from one booking to the next to match whichever room it's playing.
