Bolivia Marka

Bolivia Marka perform traditional Bolivian folkloric dance at festivals and community events around Brisbane. The costumes do a lot of the work, and so does the music behind them. The group's dancers come from different regions of Bolivia, which means the programme reaches across several distinct regional dance traditions rather than presenting one style as the whole country. Preserving and sharing that heritage is the point of the group as much as the performance is.
