Bourbon River are a four-piece classic pub rock band leaning on Australian rock covers, with a mix of other favourites thrown in to keep people dancing. Darren Wombey sings and plays guitar, with a wide vocal range and years of Sydney stages behind him. John Girvin plays lead and gets close to the original tones song by song, and he sings too. Rick Williams is a purist about bass tone and it shows in how solid the rhythm sits. Rod Gillard drums, formed the band, and chose most of the repertoire. Between them there's a lot of experience aimed at one thing: a good night out.
