Breast Cancer Does Not Pause the Business
Based in Perth
About this act
A business owner gets a cancer diagnosis, and the clients keep calling. That's the premise of this talk, and it's a lived one: work done from hospital beds and waiting rooms, through recovery weeks when energy was thin and perspective was sharp. It's delivered plainly, with dark humour where it belongs, and it's deliberately not a medical presentation or a fundraiser pitch. Rooms go quiet in the right places, laugh where they don't expect to, and leave thinking about what would happen to their own business if they disappeared for a while. The standard format is a 35 to 45 minute presentation with optional Q&A, plus a 20 minute version for breakfast events and panels. The speaker stays afterwards too, because the best conversations tend to start once the formal part ends.
