Burlesque en pointe is a rare thing, and it's Brooke Bird's signature. Classically trained, the Melbourne artist brings precision, grace and old-world glamour to routines that run from classic burlesque danced to vintage jazz, Pink Pussycat and Black and Tan Fantasy among them, through to neo pieces set to Blondie and Gwen Stefani. She's toured Australia and Europe, and the act is deliberately tasteful: polished, playful and suited to mixed crowds at corporate events, private parties, hens parties and festivals. Music runs through the venue's sound system, staging can be a clear performance area or roving through the room, and single routines, encores or multi-performance sets are styled to fit the program, with photo opportunities on offer too.
