Bübook are a four-piece from Darkinjung Country on the Central Coast playing neo-soul that lands somewhere between grit and float. Preston Walker on keys, Ori Raz on bass, Blake Cox on drums and Zoe Davis on vocals, and between them they build velvety tones over dark rhythms with rich vocal texture on top. The influences come from everywhere, and the result leans towards future-soul. Hypnotic in a live room, and it gets under your skin more than it hits you.
