Gen sings, Mike plays, and between them Calico cover more ground than plenty of full bands. The Perth duo mix classic hits with current favourites, and Gen rarely stays put on stage; she heads into the crowd to sing and dance with the audience. Mike anchors it all with guitar, backing vocals and his kick pedal, which fills the sound out well beyond what an acoustic act usually manages. The list moves through 60s and 70s classics, disco, pop and rock into the current charts, so weddings, parties and family events all sit comfortably in their range.
