Guitar, tenor banjo, mandolin, bouzouki and bodhran all pass through the hands of this Sydney-based Irish music performer, who pairs traditional repertoire with a run of contemporary pop covers so the set can shift with the room. A solo show is the default, though a band of other Irish musicians can be brought together for songs or traditional sets when the occasion calls for it. Support slots have included The Coronas, Gary Óg, Finbar Furey and Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones as they toured Australia, and festival appearances stretch across six years of the National Folk Festival plus the National Celtic Festival and Illawarra Folk Festival. In 2013 the Peter J. Daly Memorial Award for Outstanding Performance of Celtic Music came from the National Folk Festival judges. Two studio albums, Keepin' It Lit and More Than I Can Say, sit behind a live set built to work equally well on a festival stage or in the corner of a pub.
