Campbell Fry

Delicate finger picking one minute, funky blues chords the next. Campbell Fry is a Newcastle singer-songwriter whose acoustic sets move through country-style strumming, blues and laid-back pop, often layered up live on a loop pedal. Covers run from the 60s to recent hits, Never Tear Us Apart, Stand By Me and Big Jet Plane among them, with originals slotted in where the room suits it. The style is contained rather than loud: music you can listen to closely, or let sit underneath the conversation and lift the mood of the whole space. Newcastle is home base, but the Hunter and the North and South Coasts are all within range, and a PA suited to medium and large venues comes along too.
