Captain K digs. Her sets pull from the late 70s and early 80s, disco, funk, boogie, rare soul, Afrobeat, Japanese city pop and yacht rock, and a good portion of what she plays is stuff most people have never heard and immediately want to. She's part of the Sydney Soul Weekender crew and the Queen Bee collective, and holds residencies at Rekodo, Roosevelt and Tucano's. That kind of nostalgia only works when the selection is genuinely good, and hers is.
