Captain Roger Boots

Captain Roger Boots has run a performance business since 2006, with appearances at schools, libraries, festivals and venues across Perth metro and the South West as far as Denmark, along with school tours in Jakarta. Choose-your-own-adventure sessions turn children into pirates, vikings or fantasy creatures who help shape the story as it unfolds, either roving through a venue or played out on a stage with children stepping up to act out sections themselves. Fractured fairytales are part of the repertoire, familiar stories turned on their heads with a different ending each time. A treasure hunt format has children following rhyming clues to an optional chocolate prize, with organic vegan lollipops offered as an alternative, and stage storytelling sessions are pitched for audiences from two years old through to adults. Acting and storytelling workshops run alongside the performances.
