Captain Wow is a cover band from Gold Coast, Queensland.
Four formats sit under the one Gold Coast act: a four piece band, a trio, a duo or a solo show, each built around the same core repertoire of hits from the late sixties through to today's charts. Weddings, corporate events, private parties and themed costume parties have all featured in a run of gigs stretching back over twenty years. A quieter acoustic set covers dinner and conversation, then the same performers lift into full party and dance material once the room is ready for it. Electronic drum pedals let the solo show run either subdued or driving, and the duo and trio formats add harmony vocals on top of that same base. Public liability insurance backs every booking, playing anywhere in the country from its Gold Coast base.
