Carinya Quartet

This Sydney ensemble is built from two violins, a viola and a cello, staffed entirely by tertiary-trained musicians who can also pare the group back to a trio for a smaller room. The repertoire runs from Bach, Handel and Mozart through to modern arrangements of songs by Cohen and Lennon and McCartney, giving the group range across both classical standards and more contemporary requests. The quartet has performed around Sydney, playing venues such as Curzon Hall, Gunners Barracks, Leura Gardens and the Great Hall at Sydney University. Requests for a particular piece are welcomed ahead of a booking, with the group may be able to source a score specially.
