A cabaret stage at 14, singing alongside some of the country's best-known crooners, was where Carl Fidler's career began. In 2001, Carl formed The Dead Abigails, a group Triple J picked up and signed to Shock Publishing for the Code EP. Airplay followed on Triple J and Rage, plus placements on McLeod's Daughters, Young Lyons and Big Brother. Named Oz Music Ambassadors, the Abigails toured the UK and played support for Grinspoon, Diesel, The Whitlams and INXS.
