Chameleon

No power point, no stage, no PA. Chameleon Brass Band can set up on a street corner and still fill it, which is the whole point of a New Orleans style brass outfit. Formed in 1999, the band takes the second line drum feel and layers funk horn lines and all in vocals over the top, with hip hop in the mix. The instrument list runs to trumpets, alto, tenor and baritone sax, trombone, bass trombone, sousaphone, snare, bass drum and percussion, and the band has played the festival circuit since the start. There's a stage version too, a bigger jazz funk presentation built for a proper set rather than a rove. Festivals, corporate events and street parties.
