Changó is a Latin band from Sydney, New South Wales.
Salsa dura, son, classic salsa, timba, merengue and Latin jazz make up the core repertoire of this Sydney Latin band, with a set list drawing on Cuban son, plena and cha cha cha too. The full line-up runs to eleven pieces across singers, keys, bass, trumpets, trombones and percussion, with several members classically trained. A smaller acoustic version called Changito suits a mellower room, while the full band can add horns and singers for a bigger party. A salsa class can be built into the performance on request. Festivals, salsa clubs, corporate events and harbour cruises have featured in the band's work.
