Newcastle indie rock act Charlie Farmer, backed by a full band, draws on influences including Hockey Dad and Fool Nelson. Gigs across Newcastle and the wider New South Wales region have built a loyal following, including a show at the Hoey Moey in Coffs Harbour. Support slots have put Charlie on stage with Mac the Knife for the Drowning in Honey tour at Kahibah Sports Club, with Jordan Kenny not long after his European tour, and with Clay Western at a Newcastle venue, plus dates alongside local acts Poltergeist 9000 and Trophy Wyfe. A debut single called AGE came out in September 2025 and was later placed in Steel City 50, Newcastle Music Show's ranking of the year's best fifty tracks.
