Charlie Fisher

An electric guitar, a drum sampler and a bank of boutique pedals give Charlie Fisher's solo sets their layered sound. Live looping builds each track from scratch on stage, stacking guitar lines, samples and vocals into a multi textured wall that shifts genre as the set moves. The songs are his own, written and arranged for one performer working several parts at once. Based in Sydney, Fisher works as a solo act, so the whole rig, and the sound, comes down to him alone. It's a set built layer by layer in real time rather than played from a backing track.
